On Monday, September 8th, 1788 the Salisbury & Winchester Journal reported the death of Mary Bishop of Nunney, Somerset at the age of 80. It was alledged that she was the mother of 21 children, grandmother to 60 and great grandmother to 19. It was further stated that she never had a child die.
